Our Story
On October 12, 2015 our 19 year old daughter Kassidy, her 20 year old boyfrend Will, and our 12 day old granddaughter Kimberlynn were killed instantly when a drugged driver hit their vehicle head on.
Three kids lost their lives that night because a grown man decided to inject oxycodone into his veins, do methamphetamine, and then get behind the wheel of a vehicle.
His decision ended the lives of three innocent people that night...He survived.
Toxicology tests showed the presence of Oxycodone, Methamphetamine, and Amphetamines in the drugged drivers system.
On March 7, 2017, he was found guilty by a jury and convicted of 3 counts of Vehicular Homicide by Driver Intoxication & 3 counts of Reckless Vehicular Homicide.
On May 3, 2017 the drugged driver was given the maximum sentence allowable by
Tennessee State law.
He received 36 years for three counts of Vehicular Homicide by Driver Intoxication.
Laws must change!!!
Our voices will be heard; not only here locally, but across the state and nationally as well!
Guide our steps Lord. I pray that God continues to open opportunities for us to speak and make the changes to the laws that are so desperately needed! We have been through so much, but with God we have all the strength we need to fight this fight and see it through to the end!!
